Donna Pacchioni served as Chief Financial Officer at Hawken School, a coeducational, forward-focused independent day school for grades Pre-K through 12 in Gates Mills, Ohio, for seventeen years before concluding her successful tenure there in June 2018. Prior to her career in education, she worked for twenty years at National City Bank.

Post-Hawken, Pacchioni subsequently served as interim CFO at Kentucky Country Day School in Louisville, KY, and as interim controller at Holton Arms School in Bethesda, MD. Additionally, she has conducted independent business office operations assessments at several schools.

Beyond her exemplary work at these schools, she has provided leadership to the community of independent schools both in the Midwest and nationally. Her contributions include membership in the Midwest Business Managers, Association of Business Officers of Independent Schools (ABOIS), and board service at the Independent School Data Exchange (INDEX).

At NBOA, Pacchioni concluded a six-year term on the Board of Directors in 2021, during which she chaired the Strategic Initiatives Committee, served on the Executive Committee, and most notably, co-chaired the NBOA Strategic Planning Task Force, which provided a roadmap for the association’s success the past several years. In addition, Pacchioni has served as faculty for multiple Business Officer Institute programs, as mentor for multiple NBOA Leadership Academy cohorts, and as regular contributor to Net Assets magazine and the NBOA Annual Meeting. For her many contributions to the association and industry, Pacchioni was honored as the 2021 NBOA Ken White Distinguished Business Officer Award recipient, the association’s highest honor.

Furthermore, she is currently a board member of the board of Motogo and GroundWorks Dance Theater, and volunteers with the Dougbe River School of Liberia.

Pacchioni graduated from Indiana University of PA, with majors in Finance and Monetary Economics, and received her MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
