Marsha Yuan most recently served as Director of Finance at The Dalton School in New York City, where she managed an $85 million operating budget and led the Business Office for seven years. In this role, she oversaw budgeting, financial reporting, long-term planning, treasury, and audits. Previously, she was Associate Dean of Finance and Strategy at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies, overseeing a $140 million budget and supporting the launch of new academic programs. Her earlier career includes senior roles in private equity and venture capital.

Marsha’s areas of expertise include strategic financial planning, budget development, operational efficiency, and organizational leadership. She has a proven track record of strengthening compliance and financial controls, implementing technology-driven solutions, and partnering with senior leadership to ensure long-term sustainability. Known for being strategic, analytical, and highly collaborative, she brings clarity and creativity to complex challenges and fosters strong stakeholder relationships.

Active in the independent school community, Marsha is SHRM-CP certified, a graduate of the NBOA Leadership Academy, and has served on multiple accreditation and advisory committees for NYSAIS and NBOA. She earned her MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
