Robin Lunsford, CPA

Robin is an accomplished Chief Business Officer.  Driven by delivering continuous significant improvements to financial controls and the successful conversions of outdated general ledger systems software to innovative solutions designed specifically for independent private schools.  As Chief Financial Officer her achievements include the reorganization of business offices, producing annual audits with accuracy and the correction of management letters. In addition to her primary job functions, Robin has been recognized by five heads of school for her extraordinary commitment to ensuring business / fiscal operations support and enhance the educational goals and missions of each school.  She is also a skilled effective human resource investigator leading a wide variety of both student and employee investigations.  

She was successful in navigating the PPP process to secure two loans and keep cash flow positive during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is experienced in overseeing building and grounds maintenance, as well as managing new construction projects.  

Robin has over twenty years of experience working in the independent private school sector. Recognition for her accomplishments include receiving the Will Hancock Unsung Hero Award, issued by National Business Officers Association. Additionally, she received the Outstanding Committee-Co Chair of CPA's Helping Schools, issued by Houston CPA Society.

Robin has been a licensed CPA for over twenty-nine years. She was active in the Houston CPA Society for ten years and served on the Board of Directors for three years. Her other professional volunteer work includes being past secretary and president of the Business Officers Association of the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. 

Robin earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University with postgraduate work in accounting and finance from Ferris State University. 

In her free time, she enjoys playing at her local contract bridge club, as well as golf and swimming.
